GIGABYTE Introduces AORUS ELITE FO27Q28G and FO27Q24G OLED Gaming Monitors with Advanced WOLED Technology

GIGABYTE, a leading computer brand, introduces the AORUS ELITE FO27Q28G and FO27Q24G, two 27-inch QHD OLED gaming monitors featuring 280Hz and 240Hz refresh rates, respectively. Both models feature RealBlack Glossy WOLED panels with a 0.03ms GTG response time, along with GIGABYTE's exclusive HyperNits HDR technology, Tactical Features and upgraded AI OLED Care Pro.

Advanced WOLED Panels Deliver Up to 1,500 Nits Peak HDR Brightness

The AORUS ELITE FO27Q28G features a fourth-generation Primary RGB Tandem WOLED panel with up to 1,500 nits peak HDR brightness, 99.5% DCI-P3 colour coverage and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification. With a 280Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms GTG response time, it delivers sharp visuals and smooth motion for fast-paced gaming. The Tandem OLED architecture also reduces power consumption by up to 20% compared with the previous generation.

The FO27Q24G uses a third-generation WOLED panel with MLA+ technology, offering a 240Hz refresh rate, up to 1,300 nits peak HDR brightness, 98.5% DCI-P3 colour coverage and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification.

Both monitors feature a four-sided borderless design and RealBlack Glossy surface with an ultra-low 1.1% reflection rate. This helps reduce distracting reflections while maintaining deep blacks and rich colours, even in brighter environments.

HyperNits Improves HDR Brightness While Preserving Highlight Detail

OLED monitors can appear darker in HDR peak brightness modes due to Average Picture Level (APL) limitations. GIGABYTE's exclusive HyperNits technology addresses this by adjusting the EOTF curve to increase overall brightness while preserving highlight detail.

Users can choose between two settings. HyperNits High increases brightness by up to 30%, while HyperNits Medium provides a 20% increase for a more balanced HDR presentation. Both settings help improve visibility in HDR games, particularly in scenes with bright highlights and dark areas.

Exclusive Tactical Features Improve In-Game Visibility

The AORUS ELITE FO27Q28G and FO27Q24G include GIGABYTE's Tactical Crosshair and Tactical HUD features, designed to help players keep important information in view during gameplay.

Tactical Crosshair automatically adjusts the crosshair colour based on the background, keeping the aiming point visible as game environments change. Tactical HUD allows players to mirror selected screen areas, such as a mini-map, and reposition them for easier access.

Both models also feature OLED VRR Anti-Flicker, which optimizes the variable refresh rate range to reduce flickering caused by frame rate fluctuations.

AI OLED Care Pro Provides Smarter OLED Protection

Both monitors feature AI OLED Care Pro, GIGABYTE's upgraded OLED protection system designed to help reduce the risk of burn-in. The technology monitors bright areas on screen and performs pixel cleaning when the monitor is idle or powered off, minimizing interruptions during regular use.

The upgraded system also includes intelligent sensing features. Adaptive Light automatically adjusts display brightness according to ambient lighting, while Auto Lock detects when users step away and turns off the display, restoring it when they return.

For thermal management, GIGABYTE Cooling Force uses an advanced heat pipe design to distribute heat more evenly across the panel and reduce localized heat buildup, helping maintain consistent OLED performance over time.
